Challenge
Deliver easily accessible and understandable information on common landlord-tenant issues
The Georgia Legal Services Corporation (GLSP) identified a critical need to educate underserved individuals and communities about the foreclosure process while simultaneously training pro bono attorneys to assist these vulnerable clients effectively. The challenge was creating accessible, understandable information on complex legal processes for two very different audiences.
The real challenge wasn’t just providing information—it was ensuring both residents facing foreclosure and volunteer attorneys could access practical, actionable knowledge. Pro bono courses needed to deliver concise, practical information while inspiring and engaging volunteers to foster enthusiasm for their critical work.
We are extremely grateful for ThinkingKap’s expertise in developing our eLearning modules. The impact of the project has been awesome, benefiting both our clients and Pro Bono attorneys. Working with ThinkingKap was a rewarding experience that exceeded our expectations.

Solution
Mobile-optimized eLearning approach ensured greater flexibility and accessibility
From complex legal concepts to accessible learning: a strategic transformation
Addressing the needs of two very different audiences—underserved residents and pro bono attorneys—required a dual-track solution. We worked closely with the GLSP team to design two distinct curricula that shared a common goal: making complex foreclosure information practical and accessible.
We created a mobile-optimized, 4-course track for residents that broke down the process into clear, manageable steps. For attorneys, a 3-course track focused on practical case strategy and client interviews. This targeted approach ensured both groups received the specific knowledge they needed in a format they could easily use.
Approach
A flexible, scalable blended learning solution

Impact
Transformed legal understanding and community empowerment – bridging the justice gap through accessible education
Key learner outcomes
- Empowered resident decision-making with clear understanding of foreclosure processes, timelines, and available options
- Enhanced attorney effectiveness through practical tools for client assessment, case strategy development, and advocacy planning
- Increased pro bono program participation with attorneys reporting greater confidence and competence in handling complex foreclosure cases
- Expanded community access to critical legal education through mobile-optimized delivery reaching underserved populations
This value was further amplified for the pro bono attorneys, who found the training exceptionally useful in preparing them for client interactions.
The dual curriculum approach successfully addressed GLSP’s challenge of serving two distinct audiences while maintaining mobile accessibility essential for reaching underserved populations. Both residents and attorneys reported significant improvements in their understanding and confidence when dealing with foreclosure situations.
The mobile-first design proved essential for reaching the target audience, with residents able to access critical legal information when and where they needed it most. Attorneys reported feeling significantly better equipped to handle complex foreclosure cases, while the accessible format enabled GLSP to expand their educational reach beyond traditional in-person sessions.
The Strategic Difference: This was more complex than creating a single course. By understanding the distinctly different needs of residents and pro bono attorneys, we designed two separate, mobile-optimized curricula. This strategic, audience-first approach ensured both groups received the precise, actionable information they needed.
